Normally open magnetic reed. Use magnetic reed switch to provide a ground to the door latch sensor wire when the door is closed. Since the touch sensitive area is flush with the body you will not see it easily. Once you have set the sequence in motion the door should just pop open.

This switch is telling the computer that a door is open even when it is not. When the capacitive face gets enough debris between it and the handle intermittent problems can occur.
