It was a pretty good question because if we re being honest here i never even figured out how to do it on the old loft method.
Housing glitches aren t new to ffxiv by far.
It is easier to place items when they are straight and not at an angle after being generated from the storeroom so when you first right click the item in the storeroom list keep you camera facing straight on and your item will appear perfectly straight.
The primary ones are the move tool for x y z placement of items in valid locations the rotate tool for spinning items on either the x or z axis depending on type and the remove tool.

All floor lamp potted wardrobe cupboard bookshelf bathtub fireplace sculpture musical instrument cushion crafting facility pillar screen furnishing other riviera storm glade serpent oasis flame ishgard alpine doman monster instanced dungeon beast tribes primals seasonal other.
The problem is i can t get any furniture items to float.
Here s some tricky tips we ve gathered over the years abusing the tools given to place stuff in places not intended.
Might require a bit of fiddling to find the right spot as you get a lot of the usual can t place item errors.
The interface that we re most interested in is the housing menu which offers a variety of tools to place all the elements of your decorating project.
I can do wall glitches and float tabletop items but i ve been through every glitch guide and still can t get beds tables chairs etc to float.

Since i posted about the new wooden loft item in final fantasy xiv a few weeks ago a lot of you have been asking me about how to float things like furniture on top of those lofts.
I just stood at the bottom facing the staircase head on i didn t test to see if it worked from the side and spammed place while walking up and down the lower steps until the game found a gap to put the bed down inside it.
I m thinking back to games like eq2 where glitches are used to break out of the normal housing area into bigger zones.
Originally this was intended to be with audio since it can be a bit hard to tell just by seeing but my phone didn t want to process it.
